My Life.....: Thamini Ghat

Thamini Ghat is after Mulshi Dam. These Ghats are known for a lot of waterfalls just beside the Road (Only during Rainy Season - the best time being August). On a Sunday Morning, 6 of us left on 3 bikes to explore these Ghats. The roads are very narrow through out with a lot of bad patches and pot holes. These roads were a real test for our Bikes. The scenery is very good for most part of the journey. Everything was going fine until my bike had a flat tyre right in the middle of the Ghats and it was raining cats and dogs. There was no shelter and no signs of life too. To top it all there was no Network Coverage (Cell Phone). I took Raju and asked the others to wait with my Bike and tried my luck by riding further looking for a Puncture Shop, but it did not work as the Ghats did not seem to have an end. So we came back and removed the Tyre and rode further for another 32 Kms and finally found a Puncture Shop. Got it fixed and brought the Tyre back and fixed it. We had wasted 3 hours due to this. But atleast we were back on track. We rode further clicking good photos and enjoying the rains. After riding for about 102Kms from Pune, we decided to make a U-Turn and start our return. Had our lunch at 6pm (the delay was due to the flat tyre) and hurried back home. Reached home at 8:30pm and it was another good day. We all had enjoyed the trip inspite of the little things that had gone wrong. Here are some of the Photos.
