Dhivyagar - Raigad - Murud - Janjeera

Trip to Dhivyagar Beach on Bikes. 6 Guys - 3 Bikes - 650Kms during the weekend was the most thrilling part of the trip. Charles, Vinoth, Vicky, Raj, Andrew and Me had planned a night out at the beach for long. Finally we started from Pune on 17th November 2007 at 8am. The route we had taken was through Thamini Ghat (very very bad roads) to Raigad and then to Dhivyagar Beach and spent the night. We were so tired that none of us woke up early in the morning as planned. We went to the beach at around 10:00 am and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Clicked some nice photos of Sea Gulls. Dhivyagar Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Maharashtra. It is very clean and no crowd at all. Then we left for Murud to take a Boat that will take us to Janjeera Fort which is surrounded by the Sea on all four sides. After visiting the Fort, we had lunch at Murud and started our bikes to return back to Pune. We decided not to take the Thamini Ghat route on the way back as the roads were very bad. And i previously had a very bad experience at Thamini Ghats when my bike had a Flat Tyre and the nearest Puncture Shop was 32Kms away. So this time we decided against this route. We decided to take the Varandha Ghat Route and this was a mistake as the roads were worse and there was more ghats to cross. Luckily our bikes performed well, except for Andrew's CBZ's headlight that stoped working. So he had to drive along with me. Charles was lagging behind. It was total darkness except for the moon and the stars. The wierd noises of insects at 11:30pm and foxes crossing the road made it all the more thrilling. Finally we reached the Pune-Bangalore Highway and rode back to Pune. Reached home late at night and went to sleep. This is one trip we can never forget. In the Cable-Car at Raigad
